im kinda new to these chess programs... i just started using YaY 3.2.1 ultimate flash edition with winboard polyglot and rybka2... is there any way i can make it stronger?

Yes

1) change the engine to Rybka 3 ... www.rybkachess.com
2) change the opening book

You will need to edit the polyglot.ini file if you change the book or engine. Search the forum for examples of polyglot.ini files edited for use with Rybka 3

dene's recommendatoins are the best thing to do, for additional performance, tune up your operating system,add RAM if necesary and remove all the non essential services, see:
