You do not need to register or log in to the forum to download the YaY Ultimate zip package

Guys I couldnn't log in YaY forum to post a doubt so here I can post. What does it mean:

You can't use YaY with that ID (the_ultimate_god_chessmaster_666) YaY will close soon!!!

Question: Not all IDs can be used with YaY, how to know which one?

We decided to add certain 'strings' that wont log in with YaY Ultimate, This was mentioned in an earlier thread on the forum recently. For example you cant log in if your id has the word dene or zozur in the id (this was done to prevent clones using YaY).

xsupremex, I think the word 'ultimate' in your 1 id might be included in these strings since we didnt want anyone using an id YaY Ultimate etc.

Most id's will log in fine with YaY Ultimate, but if by chance you have an id with one of the barred strings then you will have to use another id.

Note: most of the barred strings are mainly words like 'gay' 'shemale' etc or religious or racist words.

Why won't shouts and kibitz show color?
Remember YaY is based off YtoICS which is an ICS emulation server. ICS clients such as Winboard can then parse certain pieces of ICS recognized messages and color them, or process them however they want. I think YaY changed the classic prompt from ICS to YaY%. That's why there's no more syntax highlighting.

Not coloring kibitzes and or shouts it has been there in Windows since the old YtoICS days....for some reason only in Linux is not an issue. To avoid this(in windows), users can use alternativily winboard_x and polyglot. It goes beyond my comprehension( and truly I dont care therefor I havent spent time figuring it out) why Winboard does this. But that is the alternative. Thank you.

What does that mean, I am not listening??

This is a kindergarden question Sicilian and the last one I answer. You are not listening means you are not listening.............read the commands and notes.txt, it says that YaY was made to suit our needs and not yours....We do not care what people shouts in the lobby...we came to play...not to chat....so we block by default all the shouts(including ours).....if you want to "see" or "hear" what other say, then issue the command set shout 1 or if you want this to be defaulted to on, then read and modify YaY.cfg acordingly..............We spent hundreds of hours making YaY as much as configurable as possible and lots of documentation was included...this kind of questions should not arise................Nothing against you Sicilian, unfortunaly you were the first asking a question that shouldn't have been asked and I want the rest to understand that...read the documentation that took us long time to write.

Wow. YaY Ultimate Edition is really cool. You do not need to edit the source (and it's an exe, so you can't), just need to edit the .cfg which is cool. PLus you can change avatars, and anything you want.
