Hi, I created a little application for autochess in the FICS (free international chess server) that functions as an engine that can be used with "Arena" and WinBoard (although for now only plays with black bone that we must face against that engine play with white). his name is AutoFICS and is available for download. For anyone interested in test it?

First this probably deserves it's own thread in a different forum am I right? Second winboard's built-in zippy command already allows people to plug in their engines on FICS and any-other server. Of course rules state you have to have a registered account for computer players on FICS and ICC. How is this different?

This guy claims to have improved admax program in one day....on top of that he managed to have the time and built another program for FICS....you know...it makes me say "Yeah , right"

I will be observing his posts and act accordingly....for now he has the benefit of the doubt.

Its indeed disappointing to know that the file cannot be downloaded anymore. If by any chance you could provide me with a working link to download yay 3.2.2, I would really be thankful to you. I also know that you might have your own reasons to justify the denial, but its just a humble request.

2 questions:

1. Is this yay 3.2.2, if yes? then I already had downloaded this, but i could not get past the captcha code, as the program would abort(close) after selecting the game room

2. if this is not yay 3.2.2, where can i download the latest version which i suppose is yay 3.2.2. I believe this version is capable of bypassing the captcha mechanism, or may be I am plain dumb

Please excuse my ignorance and kindly tell me as to how could i bypass the captcha verification or, get the latest version which can help me login.

The YaY 3.2 series is the Flash edition so there is no captcha on login.

Well in that case can you at least tell me why does my program shut down at the point where I am done selecting the game room and what could I possibly be doing to avoid that and move on to the game lobby. The final message on the command prompt is "Cannot grab image" and it shuts of instantaneously. Am I using the wrong version. Thank you for your help

I have downloaded YaY Flash posted by il_konte and installed again. It doesnt show "captcha code" , it goes direct to room. You must be clicking in your old YaY. Delete all YaY you have, shortcuts, folders, everything and install this one, you have 2 YaY versions? And running the old instead of the new one !

Save your book or engine if you put in YaY folder 1st b4 deleting YaY !

Im sure this one here will log you in direct to room.
