hi mt_mode!
curious thing i've seen!! i was playing against a big rating(more than 2600) !i've fixed timer at 5mn! apparently he was a good player but a little slow! when he was out of time ,45 seconds was left to me! normally the game should stop claming me the winner! nothing of that happend! he continues to play ;and although i was run out of time too,we continue to play for a long moment (1mn probably)! fortunately the game finished draw and i got more than 22points!!
question: what's about and how can i fight next time against that!!
thank you very much mt_mode!

I shoudnt ask this since the name of this topic is YaY 1.0, but, since some people is posting questions whereever they feel like doing it, I am forced to ask, what are you using? What version? The more info you give us about your set up, the better.

Now, assuming you have YaY, it is supposed to auto-flag when the opponent runs out of time. If it doesnt auto-flags, then you can issue the flag command in the ICS interaction window.

Additionally, look in Winboard options and check the Auto-flag option as well.

Good luck,

- It is not ethical,
- It is useless, nothing is gained (how can one be proud of a score earn with dishonesty?)
- You will be baned, sooner or later,
- It gives us (the true chess engine players) a bad reputation.

I was not aware of that version and I had nothing to do with it so I can not tell you if the auto-flag feature is implemented or not in that version.

I can only help you with versions downloaded from zozur's page:http://members.cox.net/zozur/Gavachos.shtml.

Did my comments helped?
