I have noticed the chessbuddy file installed eg.bin and r.bin and tao.bk, does anyone know what these files are? I was thinking maybe chessbuddy uses an opening book by default

I haven't used play buddy for pogo chess in over 4 months but when I did use it I found great success in Hiarcs 12 MP and Hiarcs 12 Padderborn

Play buddy is too slow to keep up with most other programs on pogo however using hiarcs 12 which has a built in book....allows you to make your first 4-12 moves without using a second!! ;)

this gives you a fighting chance with Playbuddy ;)

Rybka 3 is slow in CB.. So if you want to blitz don't use Rybka 3.

Change your click speed to the highest setting, and check "think on opponent's time."

Also, whenever I've used Hiarcs (or tried to), the engine wouldn't play.

I have had success using Zappa Mexico II and Rybka 2.3 engines.

I'd recommend Deep Shredder 11, however it quits after 10 or so games.
