how to create a book

Post by lows »

suddently i received this message to support this forum:

-ok let's get it started
1.to make a good book has to have databases(where to get 'em)
u can get 'em online
u can find 'em on googles
or of the auto player yahoo or fritz.

2.it's recommend to have somewhere to stock'em so i recommend start with chess assitant lite or chessbases light (which both r free) remmember that got ther restriccion's

3.ther's a couple of form's to do it

a . you can download the more usefull or good's book's availables right on now( fritz

11,shedder 11, power fritz , rybka 2 ,sheebar's ect) run them into fritz and loade'm.

(remember that u can combine this books between each other)

- with the data bases u can create or form the tree shold on fritz
how ? the same way u load a book but this time u gonna load the games u've stock
or download to fritz (just that u''ll be add to the book and raise the data for
consecuence the three .
b. for those more exp.. on your fount of data u can start ur own book with chosse a simple game that u like'd take it to the board this automaticly gona start the book tempo(as call on chessbases which u gonna start that way rem. save yes* after u finish, and walla ! u started
after that just had to keep adding more info games or any other resources that u want or pick for it.

eco=its the name give to a exactly type of game ( lets say u start B4 its the best. lol (shout out) that 's.

b4 - a00 eco unusual opening and not all book's have'm or at least too much info to win repeated games.

f3 - some people may consider this opening 1 or the baddest to start a game. and its call THE BIRD OPENING butt let's look beyond this opening all the moves the different's variants they may help u withinn a game some how remmember when the castle king side its attack sometimes could be useful have some little of lines on f3 and that development *

4. to expert's on the knoledge u can't only import games to it ther are the sacrificies, the novelties , the checkmates, double attck's, the promote's, pink's and fork's that u can add to your databases(good a 1001) of each plus more.

-just do a little research and i guarantee you good luck adios amido !

Hi,

You will find a very good easy to follow explanation of book making on Kevin Frayer's excellent site. The relevant sections are:

http://kevinfrayer.blogspot.com/2008_02_03_archive.html

http://kevinfrayer.blogspot.com/2008_02_10_archive.html

and then on to how to hand tune the book once you have created it:

http://kevinfrayer.blogspot.com/2008_01_27_archive.html

Also there is good advice here:

Hope this helps you,

Thanks a lot goldminer, that saved me some time going through all his blogs. I hit 2824 ELO in 3m games on playchess last night with my new book. Very strong indeed!

people who ever wants to create a books need to read a lot,be confident of what is gona do,I recomend Kevin Frayer, his analysis are deep and very clear to all of us ,from a beginer to a master

Made my own book with the help of Kevin Frayer's blogs. Working great I recommend everyone to give it a try. I've won two tournaments with my book so far and have been recognized as competition!

Hello : I'ma talk a little bit about how you should analyse a game :

1. remember that almost all the (pgn) or games that we use are played by human's
and all have ther error's or maybe rybka or ur tablebases can find a better line on
certains moves of course u can go into your tools on chessbase and check the
integrity of your games or (packe'm) that should do the hard work for u rem have
a back up because your games lines will b change or delete.

- rem. that u can sort your pgn by elo header moves moves only

2. i do it by elo if u making a book of course my best elo on my list having the 2008
encyclopedia just click where say's (w elo) above the list and wait for the list
of games my best elo, of course i got pgn of engines vs engines its 3280 - 3246

3. we gonna take that best game you have on fritz (of course u allready import
to the tree ) we gonna make a left click on the mouse with the arrow on the
opening book on fritz 11 and click on seach games once there at the left edge
look for the database of chessbase wait to get the list games and select that
game of best elo u seach before if its not the first look for it by name
after find it we gonna click on it or (select it ) then on the same page of the
games without go to the board we gonna click on tools analyse(full).after
finish the same gui gonna correct that game with rybka or the engine you
choose and gonna add it to the tree ,always save your pgn with the annots,

- AFTER THAT WE GONNA SELECT THE GAME AGAIN AND GO TO TOOLS AND
AND CLICK ON COMPARE ANALYSIS THAT WILL ADD THE GAME CORRECT BY
RYBKA TO YOUR TREE.

! i hope this help you too add blows games and medals after the analysis

u gonna see the differents classifications by color and after this u can add
a specific game and have it on your book also on the best lines of the bases.

ctg book making tutorial

Post by matematiko »

I know there is a bunch of tutorials around, but while "Googling" I found this tutorial ZOZUR and I made long time ago, somebody saved it as a PDF.

It can be found here:
http://tru2life.info/docs/g/games/chess ... zozur2.pdf

Cheers,
Using engines to cheat:
- It is not ethical,
- It is useless, nothing is gained (how can one be proud of a score earn with dishonesty?)
- You will be baned, sooner or later,
- It gives us (the true chess engine players) a bad reputation.
