A group of guys made a sligthly modified version of SCID. The only difference is that this new version allows to add new moves while using the book tuning utility.

I make download here http://scid.sourceforge.net/download.html and create one version portable, is one version official.

Note: Nothing was changed or deleted from version original!!!

I find one version more recent here http://sourceforge.net/projects/scid/files/ and soon I make update version portable.

Portables are programs and computer applications that do not require installation.

A major advantage of this program is that you can run them from your Pendrive and thereby bring their programs to all sides and need not be installing all the time. This is very well if you do not have permission to install applications on computer.

Thank you very much also eliasgino2007 . I was able to install potable SCID on my (Bank of America's) laptop. It would not let me install other SCID programs. By the way, when I imported my Yahoo .pgn games, portable SCID prompted me to update .pgn files to SCID 4 format
