Very interesting.

From all the posts concerning polyglot book making that can be found in this forum (specially eliasgino fantastic work), a previous reply to TheSicilian question points to another forum.

Makes me wonder.............

Anyway, our beloved member and moderator eliasgino2007 put together a nice package with a tutorial and some other utilities. See topic:

Using engines to cheat:
- It is not ethical,
- It is useless, nothing is gained (how can one be proud of a score earn with dishonesty?)
- You will be baned, sooner or later,
- It gives us (the true chess engine players) a bad reputation.

Have you tried SicilianRush3.pgn ? Try inserting the .pgn since you have 2 SicilianRush3 files in same folder. Poly can make books only if file is in pgn format... And welcome back!!!

TheSicilian wrote:Adjusting the weights to your polglot book with Scid doesnt seem to work for me. Even after giving 1e4 99% it still plays loopy moves like 1c4 the reversed sicilian which I dont mind and another crazy one 1h3 which is worthless and 1 h3 is set to 0

Any help here? Surely there has to be a better weigh to customize the weights on moves played with bin books?

Thank you

Just open the open the book tuning...and put 100 to the only move u want to play....put 0 to rest of the moves....if u wanna go only with e4-make it 100 and rest of the moves 0.....
I guess u know that.....
But this is wt I do...frankly speking ....I hv not enjoyed bin books....I love to play with ctg books...better and I dont know why but I think polyglot is not for me....
