Thinker is a WB (Winbaord) engine, I do not see why you want to use it with fritz.

I am really sorry to spoil my good friend zozur's joke, but I had enough:

*** HE IS NOT USING THINKER, IT IS JUST A JOKE ***

So if you want to use Thinker because you saw a guy playing and wining most of the times, and that guy is claiming to be using Thinker, then I am sorry to tell you that you are wasting your time because that is just a cruel joke. He is using rybka 3 64 bits in a computer overclocked to at least 3.6 Ghz + his own books.

Cheers,

hi mat, oh i didn't know it was a joke, but i did some research on it and lot of places think it's equally stronger to rybka or more stronger.

I wanted to try a few engine matches and couldn't get it to work with fritz and by the way yes you can load it with fritz though, atleast thats what i saw, they hahd versions for thinker with fritz or to be used with rybka..
thanks

Its slightly stronger maybe than the Free engine Rybka 2.2n2 ..but Rybka 3 would destroy it!

Still, not bad for a free engine.

Yes, there is ways but I don't see the point. If you still interested search for the adaptor wb2uci. That will do the trick. Sorry I don't give you the exact details on how to do it, it was a long time I did something similar.

The next is a complicated topic, but if read carefully you will find your answers there:

Has anyone else had this issue?

Thinker is not a chesbase or UCI engine, it is a winboard engine. You must load wb2uci instead and create a wb2uci.ini file (I think), this file will have the instructions to load thinker and a book maybe.

Look at the URL I gave to someone few posts back.
