You mean turn the message off altogether or turn On the autoplaying mode? To turn on the autoplaying mode, open the YaY.cfg file and edit this line:

Do you want to autostart games?
variable31 1

If variable31 had 0 as default, edit it to 1 and this will make the announcement that you're in autostart mode.....etc.

To turn the message off entirely so announcement can't be made......Sorry!!! The essence of the "welcome message" is to alert non-autoprogram users in differentiating who is a human and who isn't - for the sake of fairness to those who aren't using autochess programs.

This is the current problem in Yahoo: Some autochess users want to use programs to play only humans, knowing full well that humans stand no chance against an engine or a machine. So in an effort to entice humans(none-prog users), they silence their "welcome message", and the "lobby shouts" so no one will suspect them of using autochess. This is cheating!!!No Ands, Ifs or Buts.
In addition, these same cheaters are those who will not want to play equivalent autochess strength as theirs because they want to win, win, and win all the time and have a perfect game-record (something unrealistic if playing with other autochess) and get upset and boots an opponent who beats them in games because (1) they're beaten and can't handle real-life scenerios of failures(a sign of immaturity) and (2) their "precious" ill-gotten streak-records are broken.

If I sound like I've said too much on a simple question, it's because the welcome-message is designed to reduce the aformentioned habits prevalent in Yahoo and it's designed to reduce cheating. If what I described does not fit your personality, disregard my lectures and don't worry about "silencing the welcome message" or "lobby shouts".

Important! Please read all the YaY documents and the ReadMe notes already included in the YaY package you downloaded. Most of the answers to your questions are already there. Remember to surf around the forum too

Enter this command:

set warning

Now all table messages are turned off.
NOTE: all other auto messages (like "Good Game") will be disabled as well!
The lobby shout will still be active though, this can not be turned off.

Ive answerd your question this time, but In future please read the commands and notes document that came with YaY Ultimate... A lot of time was put into writing/editing the documentation!
