No, mine still doesn't work. It's still asking for captcha-word test withouth displaying the word test itself.

zappa_engine thanks a heap for restoring the captcha elements back into the STUCIs - essentially solving our problems (as I could not sleep, and actually had nightmares), words can't express my immense gratefulness. And even though zappa_engine solved the porblem, I also want to extend my thanks to matematiko for offering his invaluable time to help us STUCI-users with solutions.

Just a couple of observations with STUCI-captcha resored versions:

#1 - the styles have been taken out(style 1, style 12, style 13). I hope the style 99 is not taken out too as I haven't tested it yet. I typed in style 13,12, or 1 for example, and the ICS displayed "Command not found"!

#2 - the closing-box that says: "Connection closed by ICS" is not showing. and this started happening before the "captcha problem" 2 days ago. When I started using STUCI a couple of months ago, this "Connection closed by the ICS"- box use to display all the time upon exiting chess rooms.

#3 - Can the captcha-restored technique be applied to previous STUCI versons just for those who still like old-school things?

Thanks.

Thanks matematiko. I already downloaded them the very day it was released. I guess when I attempted the "styles" affiliated with STUCI Classics, it must've been the Lite version.

However, the closing-box (Connection closed by ICS) that normally displays upon exiting chess rooms in both YaY and STUCI Classic is still not showing when I "exit" chess rooms. It does display when I do use YaY.I have to click the red colored X tab either on winboard or on the ICS.

This problem started about 4 days ago otherwise, STUCI used to display this exiting-box too.
Any reasons? Thanks for any future answer.

OH MY GOD!

You guys are are AWESOME! Thanks a bunch to both of you: zappa_engine and eliasgino2007-Bye for kindly accepting the request to incorporate captcha restored elements in all old STUCIs including the special edited edition from eliasgino2007 bye.

I'm flabbergasted by all these......! Thanks everyone. I've downloaded ALL versions of the old STUCI Classics + captcha restored including the remade special edition by eliasgino. My mood is just, let's say, soaring unabounded.

Thanks.

Well I was testing another feature in STUCI Classic, and using lite edition to login in and when I exited via ICS command, I didn't seem to encounter this problem. I got the normal Connection closed by ICS window showing up. Sorry I was unable to reproduce this issue but maybe someone else can and we can find the common link between users that have that problem.

Style 1 and 13 were indeed removed from STUCI lite. The error you got about the command not found might be because I removed the command in lite also (which means I left in style 99 for no reason-haha). Either I can re-instate the style command or remove style 99. Style 12 will always be in the lite version and it is the default one selected automatically.

zappa_engine, NO.....please!
If my opinion or suggestions counts, I'd say add styles 1 & 13 (should you decide to redo it), in addition to the style 99 already in STUCI Classic-Lite verson. These styles help a great deal.

And about the exiting-box ("Connection closed by ICS"), it showed just once during multiple usage yesterday. After that, I retested it several times, but it didn't show anymore. Strange.

I'll be releasing a highly unstable version of STUCI Classic within a day or two. I'll be going through the code to make sure I don't release any super-sensitive information out. Yes, the new protocol will be in there (captcha-less logins, 2 week profile memory, and more info can be found in the private post I moved to public now). Take care guys.
