Pass me the books, I'll examine it, 8)
I don't know half of you, half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you, half as well as you deserve. Confused? Good. Sign of normality.

I would say , joe and vottavaini2000 have good books...

Not played fred very often (just 2 games)but yes he killed me straight out of book playing whites (eco:b97) ones.
offcourse dene has everything very strong,:-)
And yes chesstango3 has a book which can be lethal as well as very weak sometimes...than maybe gul got some very strong lines up his sleeve.....

hmmm , sunny ...his book is very strong in short games(like 1+ 2 etc ) ,,esp with whites ,almost unbeatable,

well , fact is fact and goran has a very good book too ...
try playing mastermrt1 ....always plays d4 ..
than the master himself JEAN..never seen anything like what he has got..SUPERB!

I'll make a point about books,.. a book that is very strong at longer time controls such as 40/15 might not be so good at very fast games like 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, and vice versa of course.

Yes, most the best books used in Yahoo chess are either made by or at least well edited by the users themselves ;-)

What do you exactly mean by editing your book? Do you mean changing its playing style, position setups and game weighs? Or changing its variations, what move to do where?

If what you're asking is the first one, press F4 in your Cb software, a setting screen will pop-up; although it looks like a very basic and simple settings screen, there are many things that can be done there such as optimizing your book, changing the variety of play, influence of learn value and learning strength.

If what you're asking is the second one, then you should be careful about what you're tending to do, because deleting some certain moves and adding new ones instead might not be always a good thing to do, you need to be aware of what you're exactly doing and some basic movement lines have to be in your mind.

Therefore, I suggest you not to touch your book at all, especially if it's an offical engine book such as Rybka II.ctg or DF10.ctg.

Happy Christmas All.

Thanks to your pic here i got the idea,
If i clik on the right option mouse in some line of my opening book ,and choose admiration(!) this engine will know that i will choose this line to be play
example if i choose
1.e4!
with this option my engine will only play e4 over any other main lines ,is that correct M.T._mode

thanks,
that is what I want, make my engine play certain opening only, it save time and play what i like to play
Another question if i want my engine play King Indian Def,I should green this Black move order right>>

King Indian Def
1.d4 Kf6! or (green) only move
2.c4 g6! or (green) only move
3.Kc3 Bg7! or (green) only move
4.e4 d6! or (green) only move

Can I do like that
