Help! When I use Rybka, it says:

Error: first chess program (polygot.exe polygot_rybka.ini) exited unexpectedly.

How can I fix this?

P.S. Why am I the only one having problems??? :? :?:

I do not beleive those are the best values, Rybka does not have its own book and why limit the strength of the engine.

My recomendations are:

OwnBook = false
UCI_LimitStrength = false

It is not my intention to step on anybody's toes, I am just expresing my opinion.

that is FALSE!! using tbs does not affect the motor performance, *WHY? easy, because tbs store on your memory not on your cpu. only affect if you have little memory on your pc.

On me opinion if you use rybka ENABLE tbs (everybody know rybka is very weak on end games ) and you can lose on time 4 that one speciality on games 1/0 ( don`t like you cry like a pussycat because you lose on time) :D

Hey guys...
Time for us to be up-to-date, 10 August 2008, rybka 3 is out now, and we all need new poly.ini to it since this one
works good only to rybka 232a... it looks like parameters have changed, then new poly.ini is necessary for us...
I know some players find it already... what about share? :lol: And other players found a way to make rybka fast too... :idea:
All these are secret or you guys will share some day? I know all is new for us, so I can wait for it in the future :mrgreen:

You can delete these parameters for starters now bud:

Rate Of Play = Ultrafast
Outlook = Neutral
Time Usage = Varied

Rybka 3 does not have any of those settings in its parameters.

Also, 'Emergency Time Buffer' is now called 'Time Buffer' , Rybka 3's default setting here is Time Buffer = 0 , but set to whatever you like,.... edit accordingly.
