SSL Level 3? I know SSL means Secure Socket Layer, I don't know what level three means,
URLs with SSL are characterized by the "s" after "http", like when loging to pay-pal:
https://paypal.com or login to Yahoo: https://login.yahoo.com .

SSL V3 is a big subject matter, more than what we can discuss on this forum and more than https://. If want to read more on this please let me know


Anyway, for the record: The newest pacthed YaY Ultimate still does not need a secure socket layer and Crypt::SSLeay is not needed and therefore not included in the executable. I suggest you check with your programmer what is going on before making well intentioned but inacurate statements.

Executable are provided because after we create exe secure socket layer and Crypt::SSLeay or any other package are not required be its Reborn or YaY, YaY ultimate. If you provide please pl file to any one who not have the package and library file installed on the system, they will not be able to run YaY
Try your self: Remove perl and all other perl files from your system and then reinstall active state perl Don't install any CPM or secure socket layer and Crypt::SSLeay package, try to create exe. You will not be able to create exe.

You said you were against the lobby shout, yet YtoICS Reborn's newest lobby shout includes a link to your FORUM or whovers FORUM, that is SPAMMING in my book. Note: There was a YaY version (botijon I beleive) with a link to http://www.autochess.com, I'd like to add that I have nothing to do with that modified version.



In Reborn we have provided with the facilty of turning of Lobby shout. Its upto users if they want to turn it off or not.

Well, as I mentioned long time ago, I am not even a programmer....or another way to put it is that I am not a programmer by trade but by necesity. This means that I go and use Google to find what I need to learn in orther to accomplish a certain task, but I do not deal with programming in a daily basis. Therefore I do not know the ins and outs of SSL V3.

My statement is based in the fact that "use Crypt::SSLeay" is not currently (and never has been) declared in any of my .pl files which are the base of the executables I had released, additionaly in this page and perhaps hundreds more http://search.cpan.org/dist/Crypt-SSLeay/SSLeay.pm they quote
Crypt::SSLeay - OpenSSL support for LWP
This perl module provides support for the https protocol under LWP, to allow........
It is because this type of statements I see in the net that I beleived YaY is not using SSL.

I appreciate you took the time to explain and I am just gonna take your word for it since removing and reinstalling ActivePerl just to prove or disprove this point is not worth my time.

You explained that Reborn users have the ability to turn off lobby shout, this is good. But you did not object to my statement that including a link to a shout in Yahoo rooms is spamming. So I am going to assume that maybe, just maybe you agree to this statement. Therefore, the way I see it, you are giving Reborn users the ability to turn of the lobby shout of Reborn version plus the "spamming" which happens to be conviniantly turned on by default.

Look, I am not trying to tell you how to run your bussines or what to include or not in YtoICS Reborn. I was just making my point of my beleives: I despite bots that advertise websites with webcams, I despite bots that advertise yahoo backdoors and unfortunally(from my personal point of view) your excellent program falls in this category because advertises (by default) a link to a forum. One thing is to manually type a link when someome asks for it and other thing is to shouted automatically. Chances are(maybe) that the admins of this forum will love to see this shout: "Using YaY Ultimate 2.1.2 http://www.autochess.com/forum", but I wont do it cause goes against my way of doing things.

I see every day there are more users using Reborn, I am sinceraly glad to see that your hard efforts are paying off. When original YtoICS stopped working, I modified it to create YaY for the whole purpose to always have some one else using an egine to play against. Whether they use STUCI, Reborn or YaY it doesnt matter to me, what it matters is that there are lots of us playing. What I am trying to say is that: 1.- I am not jealous, 2.- That I am glad for your success, but that been said, I coudnt helped to say what I said about the lobby shout because that's what I beleive.

I don't write much on any of the forums much, be its rybka forum, talkchess, this forum or any other forum. I never said on this forum or personally that your are jealous. I always have a high regards for you. Both of us know how much efforts goes on in making and improving the programs/codes for playing on yahoo chess. No one knows every thinks in IT i.e no one is perfect in IT in all perspective in all programming language. I am a hard code Java person but still to provide options to users I am working on Reborn.

For lobby flooding, I provided a feature and left to users how they want to use it. I will not blame them or myself for this feature. I had been a feature of YtoICS and thats why its there. Users are shouting what ever they are using.

If any thing, in my last, you think hurts you. Accept my apology.
