I have found some new auto chess prog on the net,I think this could be the brother of PlayBuddy
this is the link and how it looks like


brief intoduction:Yahoo Chess Master (YCM) is an automated chess player for Yahoo. YCM is also a perfect tool for getting analise of your position. It can help you to increase your playing skills and your rating or just to play instead of you.


Open the game table and start the game.
Open the YCM and press Start. Now its playing. When you want to start a new game or to change the time control, you have to stop YCM. To stop it just click with mouse anywhere at the YCM window. And than click Start to play again when new game is started.


Main features:
1. Automated playing from any point of the game.

2. Time control. You can change the speed of playing. At minimum time (1 min ) it reaches up to 1 move per second !

3. Main variation output while playing.

4. Hint. It shows you the main variation output and the best move even when the game is ended or somebody else is playing.

5. An automated new game startingat the end of the game.

Notes Of Use.

Important: The program is intended for use with Internet Explorer only. It's NOT supposed to work on any other browser. Before using it make sure your screen color quality is 32 bit. The resolution is variable. I recommend 1024 x 768. Also the presence of taskbar (the ruler at the bottom) on your desktop is necessarily. If it's not present, add it by canceling the autohidden in it's properties.

The program was written for old (green) style table. See the picture below. It's NOT supposed to work with other styled tables. So when you loging to yahoo chess choose NOT "All new Yahoo! Chess" but "standard chess".





You can stop and start YCM at any point of the game so you can start playing by yourself, than let to YCM to continue from your position.

Interesting!

Seems like a cheaper, more basic version of chessbuddy. Couldnt see any options to change engine etc like you can on chessbuddy.

I recomend to keep the PlayBuddy, because we know more about it,like how to upgrade engine,ect,its look is more nice than this old brother
