hi I used to use fritz10 engine over chessbase through YaY 3 before and it worked just fine, but i got rybka3 few days ago and i ran it through yay and i lost all my games due to the clock freezing.
basically this is what happens and it's pretty tricky and i dont know if it's a YaY bug or something...

I can connect to Yahoo using YaY and rybka3. just fine. now once i have a game started, say its a blitz tourney of 3mins and 3 secs inc.

Towards the 2nd minute or so my yahoo clock freezes, let me explain here more on this freezing bit.
(Approx timings used just for examples)
My opponent's clock on the yahoo server shows : 2:10
My clock : 2:03
It is my move now.

Problem: On chessbase and winboard rybka has made it's move, but shows it's the opponent's move.
But on yahoo it shows as my move which is rybka's move to play....


I've lost few games now because of these reasons, ive checked rybka's settings and its no different than fritz10's.

Any suggestions as to what's going on?

I would suggest you use a genuine Fritz GUI, no modified design, no many engines already installed. (Fritz 11 lite works very good=20mb only). And also update your GUI is good. I know when we use Rybka3, sometimes the GUI faces problem. A good solution is update it.

i use fritz 10 chessbase, its not fritz 11, also rybka3 works just fine over chessbase without using ICS, the problem is when i connect to the yahoo server. it's when i use YaY i get thisproblem on the yahoo server.

Not sure it's a GUI thing because fritz10 works just fine using YaY on yahoo, why not rybka3?
