To Convert .pl there are development Kit like PerltoExe available on internet. You can use them to convert your pl file. But it is always ethical to declare you are using programs to play chess

1. Why some YaY user's don't have the auto-kibitz-welcome message?
a. I think the previous version did not have it.
b. It was probably manually removed by the user.

2. How to convert perl script to executables?
a. perl2exe is an option as someone mentioned earlier,
b. Active Perl offers "Perl Dev Kit" I like this one better because of its GUI and options.

I think you are talking about my clones in advanced lounge. dene_00000 and dene_oooo are clones of my id and have been scrolling crap in advanced lounge recently, .. nothing to do with me sir. Please get your facts correct before making accusations!

HI,

If you want your program to not shout in lobby you need to remove this line ...

nprinttop($t,0x43,packutf($message));

this stands true if you are using the perl version, and you have perl installed on your comp.

Now if you dont want to use perl version and want standalone executable " .exe " file than you can download it from zozurs site ..he is offering a precomplied version but it will shout ..

so the other way around is that you compile the script after deleting
the line i marked b4 into a .exe so that it does not shout..compling instruction can be found here.....

After you are done with this , you have a self executable file without any need of perl on your comp..i prefer using perl version as it sucks less cpu....

the better thing to do, to my mind, is to let people to act according with their consciousness! what the team has to do is to give answers when it's possible, to people that asked for, without any ccomment,in order to keep a good atmosphere betwin all the members and the team of the site! and notice that, any question that seems silly in eyes of those who know the matter, may be very importante and useful for it's author; it's to say, there is no silly question in this forum!

This traed has 4 pages in total, have you read them all? The answer is here. Besides, YaY Ultimate allows you to the disable all the autokibitz messages just by typing set warning in the ICS Inreraction panel. Or you can make this change permanent by editing YaY.cfg , to edit YaY.cfg and understand what you are doing, you need to read the documentation included.

Guys, maintaining this FORUM requieres a lot of effort from its administrators, creating YaY and STUCI requiered a lot of effort from their programmers and beta testers, the least you can do is read and read and read before you ask a question. Last time I checked there are not special skills requiered to "read" , they taugth us how to do that in elementry school.

Someone said "there is not a silly question"...I agree..But there are silly actions, like not taking the time to look around for an answer to your question. The same person suggested that if the answer/solution is already here then we should post a link to that topic...this is a silly suggestion.....If the author did not take the time to browse the forum for the answer, why should we browse the forum for answer and post a link to that topic?

Granted, we the admins and moderators are here to help, but I have commited myself to answer from now on only questions made by people that shows they deserve it, I am talking about people that makes an elaborate question, even with pics, people that shows they have been googling for answers, people that shows they had read the FORUM topics.

We are humans after all and we get tired of the same $hit been asked over and over and over, I consider this an offense to our efforts, hence my kinda aggresive attitude towards these pople.

When someone says "Help with YaY" and after 50 replies his/her YaY is working then that person asks "Help with Polyglot" and after another 30 replies he says "Where can I get Rybka"......then "How can I make it Faster?"...."Where can I get a good book?, but I want the best book"....."Where can I get FRITZ?"........."I need you guys to post a FOTO".............DAMNED IT, where is this going to stop? Should I invite that guy to my house and let him use my computer instead? Or maybe I should take a plane, go to his house and fix the stuff for him?

Darn it....I am mad !!!!! If at least one person reads this and agrees with me, I will feel rewarded.
