The Winboard Menu option, View\

Engine Ouput,
Move History, and
Evaluation Graph

have no repercussion on an engine's "decided" number of moves. Nor does it have any impact an engine's overall performance etc.

If you have an external Hard Drive, I highly suggest you copy the entire "working" PolyGlot setup (or Folder) from your MAIN PC to the external Hard Drive. Then transfer it to an equivalent alphabetic internal Hard Drive of your secondary PC. That is, from c:\ drive of Main PC to c:\drive of secondary PC.

I have 3 PCs but use 2 for Chess. My PolyGlot setup is in C:\ drive. That is: C:\PolyGlot64. I do these copy-and-past stuff (or transferring) copiously, from PC to PC (and from c:\ drive to c:\ drive), to save time of making another manual PolyGlot setup. And it works fluently in my second PC. If I were to setup my third PC and transfer (or copy-and-paste) my PolyGlot program to its c:\ drive, it WILL work flawlessly in my third PC as well.

If after this and problem persists on your end, considering that copy-and-paste PolyGlot setup can't just miraculously develop arms to modify itself & its contents, then the problem is exclusively in your secondary PC. Either that, or you tampered with something somewhere.

It's now 2:40 AM. Good night / or morning. I'm through with this.

Houdini 2.0 is commercial that comes with serials and/or activation keys that gets stored in your PC's registry data system. IF you purchased Houdini 2.0, did you register H2.0 in your secondary PC, using the registry key and/or info, provided to you by Houdini author upon your purchase?

The "play_a_few_moves_and_then_stops_playing_during_game" IS typical characteristic of engines with serials & registry keys that are unregistered in another PC. This has to be the only plausible cause, after exhausting all avenues.
