Are you launching YaY first? Or just double clicking in the WinBoard shortcut?

They both work on YaY,you just need to configure the polyglot.ini

Since YaY was released in executable form, you do not need to install perl. If you insist on installing perl for whatever other reason you may have, then go tohttp://www.activestate.com/, alternatively; you can google strawberry perl to name just a few.

Hi all, how can you change your rating if you have just started using YaY chess? For Pogo which I am more familiar with they have a Padder which allows you to boost up your rating as you don't want to be playing humans to do this. You can usually look at peoples ratings and also by typing ^yayp to tell who else is availible to play engine maches. But right now with my low rating at Yahoo I won't be able to get any games unless I find a YaY player who will adjust his differential rating to allow me to play. Would appreciate help with this.
