I have installed yay 3 ultimate edition but.... after selecting any room (advance lounge) ... it says " cannot read image : Bad description file " and closes. why does it not work

try to lounch it from the batch file,in this way the window will not close and we will have more details of this problem.

This question has been asked and answered several times. The last two versions (3.2.1 and 3.2.2) now use the flash server protocol which does not requieres to enter a CAPTCHA test word, therefor does not requieres to download an image.

Please download latest version (link can be found in this forum).

i just download it and try to play with it but when i open it and i double clicked on winboard with chessbase. there this message pop up i cant find slave and i click on accept there another message pop up cant creat PPIE then another pop up...idk y sorry if iam not explaning good in short words idk how to make it work any help pls?

Please read the tutorials and documentation included with YaY. Obviously you havent and you are not doing things the right way, that's why you are getting those errors.

Engine name needs to be the same name indicate in the path. If not, edit like your engine name.

Hey supreme, ive been trying to get Rybka 3 to work with YaY Ultimate Flash on my Windows 7 PC for about a week and its a no go. Can you walk me through step by step on how to do it? When I installed YaY at first and got to the login page successfully, but when I put in my yahoo id which ends in @att.net along with the password, the black dos screen shows up then nothing gets executed. Any help on how to set this up correctly from the beginning? Once again, I have Deep Rybka 3, a Windows 7 32-bit PC, and am trying to successfully set up YaY to play against progs on yahoo. Thanks in advance.

Additionally (and this had been told hundreds of times), YaY distribution comes with a couple of tutorials under the Documentation folder. If a user follows the tutorial will not have any problems setting it up. But who reads the damn instructions? Probably nobody, oh well.

This isn't exactly what you have in your in your guide, but I find this works very well. In my Winboard.ini I have this:

The polyglot_Rybka.ini in the Polyglot folder just has this:

All of the other config stuff is handled in an engine option menu within Winboard and retains specifications for engines on an individual basis automatically.

Basically when I start up Winboard, after logging on with Yay Flash, the dialog box pops up. I simply select the yahoo ICS line with the /zp command in it, and Winboard will use whatever engine you have selected as your first engine. So in this case, I'd select Rybka as the first engine, press the Play ICS Option with yahoo line and /zp, then press OK.

Hey bro, wanna chill? For your information, I got as far as I did getting the program to work by following the tutorial, so back off bud. Of course I read the instructions, I'm not stupid enough to take the time to post on this forum and wait for a response if I wouldnt have taken the extra couple of minutes and just followed the tutorial. I did as best as I could by follwing the tut, and posted where I got stuck. Don't assume everything if you don't know the entire story. And before you pull the "I'm an admin, you can get banned for that", yes, I know I'm responding to an admin of the forum.

Well now that I got it working, can someone KINDLY respond to this new question? How can I change what is shouted to people when they join my table?
