I have Fritz 10 & 11 GUIs - all working. But how can I make Shredder GUIs work in Yahoo?
I have Shredder 10 (or 11) GUI and Shredder Classic 3 GUI. Can these versions of Shredder GUI be made to play using YtoICS, YaY, and STUCI in Yahoo?

All the Chessbase GUI have the provision of connecting to Hardware. Whether Fritz, Shredder, Hiarcs or any other. Not sure of Shredder Classic.

You can connect using Shredder same as u connect through Fritz.

Thanks for your replies......it enlightened me on Shredder Classic Gui-usage. I do still have the regular Shredder 10 GUI (or 11, can't remember which version now...it's in my external hard-drive back-ups) and I noticed it too have the auto-232 player in it but I couldn't connect it to yahoo like I normally do with my Fritz GUIs.

Obviously, I know how to connect Fritz's auto-232 player to the YtoICS.exe, YaY.exe, and STUCI.exe ....which says something of this manner: "Wait for Connection". - by which I can click on any of the above .exe of my preference.

But how can I do the same with Shredder GUI? Unfortunately(for me), zozur's site ONLY provides instructions for Fritz GUI, and not Shredder GUI - as it has different steps to connect its auto-232 to the .exe files.

Maybe it's just me, but my YaY is not connecting to yahoo.

After entering Username and Passwoed, the YaY.exe closes!!! So I decided to log on using chessbuddy and keyed in --->/YaY/yay trtr<--- code and nothing happened! I mean, there were no one shouting the usual YaY-Shout in the lobby.

However, I was able to connect to yahoo using STUCI with no problems whatsoever.

Has anyone else encountered this no-connection problem using YaY as of today September/11/2008?

Hmmm. This is all too strange. Few months ago, around March or April, this happened with the exception that it was only STUCI that encountered this problem.
Now it's the reversed case here with the same problem affecting both YtoICS and YaY.

I'm not sure whether to attribute these problems to Yahoo's "New Stunt", or, if an update has been made to the ICS modules etc.
By the way, take a look at this post from the "New Member" that joined today. His post seemed to indicate "something" and the timing couldn't be "coincidental" and impeccable, especially when we're encountering these connection problems. His/er post seemed to "mock" rather than being enthusiatic about using autochess programs:

Anyways, try using STUCI, it connects to Yahoo with no problems (for now).

Not at this moment....old version 1.0 used to, but something they changed is messing things up.

And this is just with YaY, maybe with STUCI it will work just fine, I don't know....give it a try.

Actually...it does connect with YaY, but the there is an issue with the timers...since this is not priority to me or dene, we have not tried to see what the problem is....but maybe in the feature.
