An ICS Emulator for YAHOO Chess

A Problem

Postby jwatters425 » 12 Apr 2008 02:20

So I found this wonerful website, and downloaded (I think) everything I needed. When I click on yay.pl, the ms dos window pops up, i type in my username and all that, and "waiting for winboard on port 6000" comes up. So I click on winboard and an error message pops up that says "can't find slave," after that another one pops up that says "Can't create PIPE" and then a third that says "Error: first chess program (winboard232d.exe-pipe) exited unexpectedly" after that, the whole winboard thing closes. Any ideas on what is going wrong? Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you downloaded and copy to your Winboard folder the file
"winboard232d.exe" ?

If you have not, then you can download it here:

Just wondering,

Using engines to cheat:
- It is not ethical,
- It is useless, nothing is gained (how can one be proud of a score earn with dishonesty?)
- You will be baned, sooner or later,
- It gives us (the true chess engine players) a bad reputation.
