Hi fellow members,
For the sake of updates/relaying news to members, STUCI Classic is another kind of Y to ICS emulator, just like YaY. For those already experienced with using STUCI Classics to play, knows Active Perl is a must-have requirement. We have traditionally used Perl version 8.8.822 x86 (the 32-bit). Well now, there is a new Perl version - Perl 8.8.825 x86 that is compatible with STUCI.
In fact, I've tried Perl 8.8.825 x86 in both Quad Core (64-bit) PCs of mine: AMD AND Intel and this new Perl 8.8.825 x86 worked well with both STUCI Classics and YaY-Perl 3.1.2
Observation 1:
In the AMD PC, after installing Perl 8.8.825, I went ahead and used it without the installation of the ppm install http"//theoryx5 etc..., SSLeay-Crypt and other modules and STUCI Classic and YaY-Perl works fines without problems so far.
Observation2:
In the Intel PC, after installing Perl 8.8.825, I went ahead with the download and installation of the SSLeay-Crypt etc and it worked fine (using the ppm install http://theoryx5 etc etc commands).
Deducting from these two cases, Perl 8.8.825 works fine with both STUCI Classics and YaY Perl and may have these modules without the installation of the "ppm install commands...", SSLeay-Crypts & SSLeay32.dll and other modules that Perl 8.8.822 lacks or needs through the "ppm installation commands" to get these modules.
