Here is the situation:
I have Core 2 Duo 3GHZ, Windows 7 Ultimate, 2GB RAM
I open Fritz 12 GUI, choose a particular engine, analyse a game using Blunder Check.
Observation:
While the above operation is ongoing, I check Windows Task Manager and see processes which are running, and note that:
If the particular engine is Rybka 3, there shows two (2) Rybka 3 engines in process.
If the particular engine is Fritz or Igorrit or Firebird 1.1 only one is in process.
I checked the parameters of Igorrit and Firebird and selected 2 CPU, but still one process shows for each engine.
Is the above normal?
I finished a 7-game match between Rybka 3 x64\Core 2Duo 2.2 GHZ versus Igorrit v9 x64\SU7300 and the results favor Rybka 4/7. Time control is 10 minutes/game. I know the SU7300 is weaker but I was looking for an excuse, hence I entered this post.
Also, 7 games is not enough I think. But the way I did was tedious, manually entering the moves on two computers. I have my network configured as Workgroup, as I have not learned how to connect PCs in LAN as Server/Workstation, which is how Fritz auto232 would accept only. Or is there some workaround to this?
Thanks
